Thanks to Dave KD8V and Pat Dressler we started the day at 8:00am with a
fine breakfast at their house. Set up at the school Greenhouse began
about 9:15am with installing the 40-10 meter SteppIR vertical and 20
meter End Fedz slooper by Par Electronics. The 3 rigs consisted of Ron
K8VJG’s Yaesu FT-100MP, Steve N8IS with his ICOM IC756 Pro II and Tom
WB8N with an Alinco rig.

Arrowhead Primary school has a very progressive Principal Gary Novak,
teaching staff and school board. They have received a great deal of
local and national recognition and were great hosts for our Ham Radio
demonstration.

Three acres of the schools backyard have been transformed into a
bio-diverse land lab and wildlife habitat. Focal points include the
Flower, Vegetable and Butterfly gardens along with a Greenhouse. The
Greenhouse is where we set up the stations.

The students were brought in by their teachers in classes averaging 20
students. We demonstrated to about 275 students and teachers, the day
ended at 3:30pm.

CARS members who participated are Dave KD8V, Ron K8VJG, Tom WB8N, Gary
NI8Z, Steve N8IS, Kayla N8KAY and myself.
