The Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Society holds regular events for both members and the community.

• Appreciation Dinner Meeting

  Dinner reservations are sold out.

  On Tuesday, November 10 we are having a Fall Dinner Meeting at 7 PM at our regular meeting location, Busch Funeral Home, 7501 Ridge Rd, Parma, OH 44129. We will be celebrating our outgoing President Toby Kolman, WT8O, and his many years of service to the club and his retirement as club president.

  We have had an overwhelming response to the dinner and, due to space limitations at Busch, we are totally sold out and cannot accept any more dinner reservations.

  If you are planning on attending our regular business meeting and elections, please join us at approximately 8 PM.

• Club Meetings 🔗

  CARS members meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7 PM. Non-members are welcome to attend the meeting. Only members are allowed to vote.

  The next club meeting is on November 10, 2026 at Busch Funeral Home, 7501 Ridge Rd, Parma, OH 44129. The meeting will feature Catered appreciation dinner celebrating outgoing President Toby Kolman, WT8O, followed by a brief business meeting with the election of officers and board members..

• Nets 🔗

  CARS conducts a weekly net at 8 PM on Wednesdays on our Cleveland-area repeater system. The net is open to all amateur radio operators in the area. The next net is November 4, 2026 and the net controller will be AC8TN.

  View the results of net check-ins for 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021. The net check-in results since November 1, 2023 are also available for download as a comma-separated values (CSV) file.

• VE Sessions 🔗

  CARS hosts VE Sessions on the second Sunday of odd months at 9:15 AM at the Old Elmwood Recreation Center, 6200 Pete Wisnieski Pky, Independence, OH 44131. Anyone looking to obtain or upgrade their amateur radio license is welcome.

• Field Day 🔗

  Field Day 2026 is the weekend of June 27-28, starting June 27 2:00 PM and ending June 28 2:00 PM. CARS will be holding our annual Field Day event at Nike Park/James Day Park in Parma, OH.

• Board Meetings 🔗

  The board meeting schedule is set in January each year. All Club members are welcome to attend Board Meetings. Only Board Members and Officers are able to vote. A quorum of six voting members is required to pass any motions.

  The next board meeting is on November 19, 2026 5:30 PM at the Club House Restaurant, Parma Heights.
